Responsibly into the future – how we at DiTEC put artificial intelligence into practice
At the ZVO Surface Days 2026 in Berlin, we gave a presentation entitled ‘Artificial intelligence – creating facts with data’ and followed this up with a webinar on the same topic the week before last. The response to both events was overwhelming: there was great interest, lots of specific questions and, above all, one thing became clear: the industry wants to understand what artificial intelligence means in practical terms for everyday production.
Many companies in the surface technology sector are currently at a turning point. They sense that they need to engage with artificial intelligence, but often do not yet know exactly
- where the real opportunities lie,
- where the risks lurk,
- and which steps make sense and which are more hype.
This is exactly where we at DiTEC come in. Our aim is to use artificial intelligence not as a buzzword, but as a tool that brings measurable benefits:
- more stable and efficient processes
- relief for operators and management
- better data transparency and evaluability
We are already using artificial intelligence in initial applications – always with a clear goal, based on solid data and in close coordination with our customers.
But the other side is just as important to us: responsibility.
We will only roll out artificial intelligence on a broad scale where we are certain that
- the underlying data is reliable,
- the results remain traceable
- and the solutions prove themselves in tough everyday practice.
No ‘experiments on living objects’, no hasty decisions just because a trend is currently popular. What matters to us is that systems run safely, decisions remain traceable, and our customers can rely on the technology – today and in the future.
We are certain about one thing: Now is the right time for companies to address the topic of artificial intelligence. Those who set the right course today and rely on software that collects and structures data in a targeted manner will be able to use artificial intelligence tomorrow exactly where it really makes sense.
The strong demand for our presentation and the subsequent webinar confirms our belief that it is time to seriously address the topic of AI in companies – in a structured, fact-based manner and with partners who are familiar with both the technology and the reality of surface technology.
